The woven Solstice Star is celebrated in Scandinavian countries, Denmark, and Germany during the winter holidays. They are often used as tree toppers or found hanging in windows. The 8-points of the Solstice Stars represent the 4 directions (north, south, east, and west), 2 equinoxes, and the remaining 2 represent the 2 solstices.
The original Solstice Stars were made from straw, but Mindful Gardens’s Solstice Stars are handcrafted from reed, the same materials used in our baskets.
